The short version
PayBilz keeps what you enter on your phone. We don't have a server or user accounts, so we can't see your bills, your name, your email, or anything else you put in the app. We don't sell your information, show ads, or track you.
What PayBilz stores on your phone
- Your first name and email address, and your last name and mobile number if you choose to add them.
- The bills you add: names, amounts, due dates, categories, how often they repeat, and which ones you've marked paid.
- The accounts and balances you type into the Money tab. You enter these yourself — PayBilz never connects to your bank or cards.
- Your settings: your reminder lead time, whether PayBilz looks light, dark, or matches your phone, and whether Face ID unlock is on.
- Your PayBilz password, which is saved in your phone's secure Keychain and is used only to unlock PayBilz on that phone.
All of this stays on your device. PayBilz does not send it to us or to anyone else.
What we don't collect
PayBilz doesn't include analytics, advertising, or tracking tools, and the app itself doesn't send any of your information over the internet. We don't collect personal information or usage data.
How PayBilz uses what you enter
- Reminders. PayBilz schedules reminder notifications on your phone based on your bills' due dates. Your phone creates and delivers them — nothing is sent from a server.
- Email and mobile number. These are saved on your phone. In this version PayBilz does not send emails or text messages. If we add email or text reminders in the future, we will update this policy first and ask for your permission.
- Face ID. If you turn on Face ID unlock, your iPhone does the face check. PayBilz is only told whether it matched. It never sees, receives, or stores your face data, and your PayBilz password keeps working as a backup.
- Messages you start yourself. “Share PayBilz with a friend” opens a pre-written message in Messages (or the share sheet), and “Send feedback” opens your email app. You decide whether to send and to whom. PayBilz doesn't see your contacts or your messages.
- Exporting. “Export my data” creates a CSV file of your bills on your phone so you can save or share it. It goes only where you choose to send it.
Backups
Depending on your settings, your phone may include PayBilz's data in your iCloud or computer backups. Those backups are handled by Apple and controlled by your settings, not by us.
Deleting your data
You can erase everything PayBilz has saved on your phone at any time: open the You tab and choose Erase all data. That deletes your bills, accounts, activity, name, email, phone number, and password.
Deleting the app also removes your bills and settings from your phone. A saved password can remain in the Keychain after an app is deleted, so use Erase all data first if you want it gone.
PayBilz has no servers, so when you erase your data or delete the app there is no copy with us to keep, restore, or share. The one place a copy can remain is a backup of your phone that you made earlier, and those backups are controlled by you and Apple.
Children
PayBilz is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If we change how PayBilz handles information — for example, when we add features that need an account or an internet connection — we'll update this page and the date above before the change takes effect, and we'll let you know in the app.
